Shaped, not just curved

The shell is moulded polypropylene, contoured to give support through the lower back rather than simply bending backwards. The front edge is finished in a waterfall curve, which sounds like a detail until you've spent an evening in a chair without one — a rolled edge takes the pressure off the backs of your thighs instead of cutting into them.

The seat cushion is upholstered and integrated into the shell, so there's nothing to slide off or reposition.

Solid beech legs
