A desk chair that earns its place in the room
Some furniture is bought to fill a gap. This is not that. The low back thin pad chair belongs to a lineage of mid-century aluminium seating first drawn up in the early 1950s — a moment when designers stopped hiding the structure of a chair and started celebrating it. Seventy years on, the silhouette still reads as modern.
Built around a polished aluminium spine
The side frames are cast in aluminium, then chromed and hand-buffed until the surface holds a true mirror finish. It is a slow process and it shows: light travels along the edges rather than dulling into them. The same treatment carries through to the five-star base, which rolls on five smooth-running castors.
Aluminium keeps the whole thing light enough to reposition with one hand, while giving you a frame that will not flex or complain under daily use.
Comfort that lasts the full working day
The seat and back are formed from a single suspended panel, upholstered in soft tan brown and finished with hand-stitched ribbing that gives the chair its distinctive horizontal seams. Padding is high-resilience urethane foam — the kind that recovers its shape overnight instead of flattening out by month three.
The result is a chair you stop noticing after ten minutes, which is exactly the point. Long meetings, deep-work afternoons, back-to-back calls: you should be thinking about the task, not the seat.
